Why breathe as you move?

Breath is the soul of the practice. It is the sacred thread that keeps everything together: the mind, body, emotions and awareness.

1) When we practice it stirs us up at physical, mental and emotional levels. This brings irregularity in breath. When we calibrate the breath with movement, it brings balance as the peaceful messenger.
.
2) Breath is the only bridge between the mind and the body. It is tangible enough to be felt and transformed and yet subtle enough to seep into deep channels of the mind
.
3) One breath is a combination of inhalation and exhalations which in yogic terms are inspiration and expiration. Every inhalation inspires us to wake up and every expiration is an opportunity to let go of attachments, conditionings, negativity and undigested experiences. The entire practice of Yoga is a big letting go!
.
4) It takes 24 hours to complete one solar and one lunar cycle but only 12-15 seconds for one cycle of breath. That one cycle of breath is the miniature sun and moon within the body. Every cell shines and lights with each breath, only if we could see. Such a tool which can awaken the sun within as we inhale and change the phases of the moon when we exhale is extremely powerful. Know this strength and you have complete command on your senses and mind
.

5) If not for breath, we are simply matter
