Fried Lotus Root with Tofu-filling

  1. Peel the skin of lotus root and slice it into 0.3cm thick. Soak it in vinegar water.
  2. Chop shiitake finely.
  3. Mesh tofu and squeeze the liquid out.
  4. Remove seeds from red & green peppers and chop all.
  5. Put no. 2, 3, 4 in a bowl and add perilla seed powder, sesame seed oil and salt. Mix all thoroughly to make filling.
  6. Pair two slices of lotus root, remove the liquid and paste starch powder inner sides.
  7. Fill between two paired lotus root slices with seasoning tofu.
  8. Coat a little starch powder and fry it till golden brown.

  • Starch flour 2/3C(150G)
  • Cooking oil
  • For filling: Soaked shiitake 2ea, tofu 1/2block, red pepper 1ea, green pepper 1ea
  • For seasoning: perilla seed powder 1Ts, sesame seed oil 1ts, salt 1ts, pepper 1ts
